Why I Am Legend Sucks

This film I Am Legend was interesting. The super-human zombies were unexpected, so kudos to that. But even with a genuine star like Will Smith, the movie sucked.

Will Smith plays Neville, who is immune to a man-made virus originally created to cure cancer. He works to create a remedy while defending himself against humans mutated by the virus (‘Darkseekers’). He (and his dog), seem to be the only one present in the city.

After Neville loses the close friend of his, he goes out zombie-killing. Seriously, looking at the strength of these zombies, it would be a horrible thing to do. And what do you know… Neville nearly dies.

But luckily, he gets saved by a woman who happens to have listened to a radio broadcast. Neville did these radio broadcasts every day, but the how strange is it that she finds out where he is? If it wasn’t for her, Neville would be dead!

Like geniuses, the characters end up going to a horrible place, the basement, where there's hardly any chance of escape. They get cornered with only a piece of glass shielding them from the Darkseekers.

Out of nowhere, we found out there’s a secret trapdoor (how lucky!). Neville shoves the survivors in, attempting to save them and wants to be a suicide bomber.

The hilarious thing about this scene is that the head of the monsters takes so many attempts to smash the glass and it looks like the glass regenerates every time. We’re left thinking: “Sheesh! How long will it take?”

Smash the glass and end the film already!
